Will Adding A Fan To The Server Chassis Cause Power Burden?

There has always been a question, whether it is a home computer host, industrial control chassis, or server chassis, is there a problem? Will adding a fan burden the power supply? Because the editor has always believed that adding a fan to the server chassis can improve the heat dissipation of the chassis, and the computer is less prone to overheating and automatically loses power. Or to put it another way, will adding a cooling fan increase the power burden on the chassis?

For the editor, this doubt troubled me for a long time, but later I found out that this statement was actually incorrect. Adding more fans to the server chassis will definitely increase the airflow inside the chassis, which is an objective fact. As for increasing the power burden, there is no need to worry too much. As long as it is a high-quality server power supply with sufficient power and can carry only a few watts of fans, there should be no problem. Moreover, the temperature inside the chassis has decreased, which is also beneficial for the lifespan of the power supply. The power supply is also a heatwave. The mainstream 1U server chassis on the market now have six or more internal cooling fans. Generally, it can support CPUs well. Kaiwang Technology once launched a 10 fan 1U server chassis with excellent heat dissipation, which uses imported large motor 40x28 copper core fans. The wind force is very amazing, and you can't see that kind of awe inspiring wind feeling on ordinary PC chassis.

After reading this newspaper, I finally know that adding internal fans to server cabinets will not cause any burden on the cabinets. However, in practical applications in the future, you can roughly estimate how much heat your device generates. Generally speaking, there are two to four fans on the top of the cabinet, and the more fans there are, the better. There are also sufficient screws, nuts, etc. used to secure the rack. Not causing trouble with insufficient accessories due to future expansion.
